"Electricity Holds the Future"

Electricity Holds the Future

If you were asked what industries you think are going to undergo the most change in the next five years, you would probably think of computers, software, information and maybe communication technologies.

Well, you would most likely be wrong. As big as the changes in these sectors may be, none are going to change as dramatically as electricity. The electric utility suppliers are one the last few existing services in the United States which still enjoys a virtual monopoly.

This is going to change!. Over the past two decades, we have seen de-regulation come to the oil and natural gas industries, transport- trucks and airline, banking sectors and cable TV sectors. Next is electricity.

A radical de-regulation is about to hit electricity utility services, which promises to cause massive changes in terms of industry structure, consumer options, and yes, CHEAPER ELECTRICITY.

Homemade Wind Generators and Solar panels are starting to gain popularity with home owners because of simple and cheap available systems the average person can build with common hand tools and materials

Whatever the changes, and there are going to be quite a few, you would gain. There would be a lesser number of companies, lesser 'vertical integration' and so on.

How? And what are going to be the new changes? Read on to find out..

Wireless Electricity - Tired of all the wires you have to deal with every time you have to fit up an electric appliance at home, or office. Hate the mess they make to your well-planned joint? Well, now is your time - for very son we are going to have wireless electricity!! Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have experimented with great success on wireless power transfer procedures. In the near future, that would translate to wireless appliances.

Cleaner sources of Electricity - This stems from two concerns over the use of electricity, and there are efforts to overcome both. One is the effect on the environment - Homemade Wind Generators and Solar Panels are cleaner sources of electrical energy. These two grass root sources of RENEWABLE energy will become a big part of energy inependence.

The consumer will be the ultimatee decider - Electricity industry experts say that the consumer is going to wield more power (literally!). In other words, you will get to decide things the way it suits you the best. For instance, you will be able to decide the best way YOUR ELECTRICITY will reach your home, or say, to disrupt connection when you are on a holiday and not at home - that way, you aren't charged for services. TRUTH IS, the experts don't really know when that is going to take place, but they tell us it is going to be sooner rather than later.

More Reliable Power - With greater control over means of production and greater networks of supply, the power supply would be more regular, AND FAR MORE RELIABLE. None of those frequent power outages!
